Killermont Parish Church exists to serve God in Killermont, Bearsden, Glasgow, Scotland and beyond.
We are a Parish Church within the Church of Scotland which is both Presbyterian and Reformed. Killermont Parish Church, one of several Christian churches in Bearsden, is located within and serves the Killermont or Kessington area of Bearsden.
Bearsden is a residential suburb to the north of the City of Glasgow in Scotland which grew up to provide homes for people working in and around Glasgow and Clydebank. However, it has a distinct identity and formerly had the status of a Burgh. It adjoins and is often linked by name with Milngavie (pronounced mill-guy), now world-famous amongst walkers as the Southern End of the West Highland Way.
Bearsden is located within the larger local authority area of East Dunbartonshire. It is a wonderful place to live. We are blessed by being minutes from the Glasgow City Centre and also on the edge of spectacular scenery in and around the Campsie Hills, not to mention our proximity to the wonderful Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park.
Our folk seek to follow Christ in the power of the Holy Spirit. We are very active within our community and we gladly share what God has given to us. We have modern buildings into which we invite all in our community. Alongside our church groups and activities, we host other local organisations. You will find details of these on this site.
As a member of the Association of Bearsden Churches, Killermont Parish Church is committed to ecuminism within the wider Christian family. We work closely with our sister-churches, often sharing resources to help deliver the caring, friendly support that people need at all stages of life.
Many Bearsden church buildings are old and beautiful, some very new. Killermont Parish Church, which celebrated its 75th Anniversary in 2010, is considered modern and works hard to live up to this image. Yet through our community runs the ancient Roman Antonine Wall. So even as we look to the future we value the past.
Living in Bearsden, you will be sure to find everything you and your family need - spiritually as well as for mind and body. And, of course, the folk of Killermont Parish Church are ready to welcome you in the name of Jesus Christ.
If you reside in, or visit Bearsden, you must come to Killermont Parish Church. We’d love to meet and serve you.
