Our Minister is always pleased to discuss the baptism of adults, children or babies.

Baptism signifies the action and love of God in Christ through the Holy Spirit.

It is, therefore, always a joyful occasion for us when a person is baptised in our Church.

However, we take baptism very seriously as does the Church generally.

Baptism is not an empty ritual and both our Minister and Kirk Session are obliged to follow the law of the Church.

Where a Member brings a child for baptism, they promise, with God’s help:

             To teach their child truths and duties of the Christian faith.

             By their prayers and example to bring their child up in the life and worship of the Church.

 And, at that baptism service, all Members of the Church welcome the child and promise, with God’s help:

             To live before all God’s children in a kindly and Christian way;

             To share with them the knowledge and love of Christ;

             To nurture one another in faith, uphold one another in prayer and encourage one another in service.
