The Church aims to provide activities for every age group:
The organisations below are supported by the Church and, in the main, have a Christian-focused agenda and programme.
To involve people of all ages, we offer:
For the younger ones, Sunday Clubs, a number of Groups meeting weekly on Sundays, graded to suit any age from zero to 20.
For young girls, we have all sections of Girlguiding, from Rainbows, through Brownies to Guides and Ranger Guides.
For school girls of all ages, we have Crosstalk, a group of Scripture Union Scotland, who meet on Monday evenings.
For young boys, we have active Anchor Boys, Junior and Company Sections of The Boys’ Brigade.
In addition, the 183rd Glasgow Scout Group operates Beavers, Cubs and Scouts from its own hall just up Rannoch Drive, effectively covering all ages.
For all adults, there are Afternoon and Evening Guilds, a Mid-week Prayer Meeting and a dedicated Church Choir to enhance Sunday Services.
For those who are recovering from a stroke, the Way Ahead Group, a stroke club for Bearsden, was established some years ago by the Association of Bearsden Churches (ABC) and meets every week.
Pre-school children, and their precious mums, are catered for through the Killermont Kiddies Playgroup, meeting on Tuesdays and Thursdays during school terms.
The WOW (Women on a Wednesday) group meets on the last Wednesday of each month. Women of all ages are welcome.
For ladies of all ages, The Ladies Association meets one evening on alternate weeks.
See our What We Do page for typical weekly timings of these activities.
