Non-church organisations are positively encouraged to use the Killermont Parish Church halls and other facilities, where they helpfully contribute to running costs, as well as enriching the variety of activities available within the local community.
Although their programmes and activities are not directly influenced by the Church, they must and do meet certain requirements, in keeping with their sharing of the Church premises.
For the more mature, a very popular afternoon event is the fortnightly Tea ’n’ Chat, which is held in the Main Hall.
For the less-fit adult, of which there are admittedly a few, a professionally-led Exercise Class meets on two different days each week, so there is no excuse for not joining in.
For young people, Destination Dance offers tuition and enjoyment in learning and expressing oneself better through the medium of dance.
Primary School children can take advantage of the Out of School Club which operates on all school days.
To suit people of all ages, several martial art classes are held in the Halls, including Aikido and Tae Kwon-Do.
The WHAT WE DO page shows typical weekly timings of these activities.
