Everyone in the Community
Killermont Parish Church is eager to reach out and assist the local community.

Non-church organisations are positively encouraged to use the Church halls and other facilities as, by so doing, they help to enrich the variety of activities available within the local community.

Although an organisations’ programmes and activities are not directly influenced by the Church, they must and do meet certain requirements, in keeping with their sharing of the Church premises.

To help meet the cost of maintenance, heating, lighting, etc., there is a Charge for Hall Lets, detailed on this separate page.

The Church halls are used extensively by church and non-church organisations.

However, there is sometimes spare availability, so if you feel that use of a hall would be helpful, please enquire using the Form on the Contact Page, mentioning “Hall Let Enquiry” in the Subject box.

This will go to the Halls Convenor who will respond directly to you at the telephone number or email address you provide.

The following Community Groups already use the Church halls on a regular basis.

Should you be interested in getting involved with any of them, please click the relevant link for more information.

  • For the more mature, a very popular afternoon event is the fortnightly Tea ’n’ Chat, which is held in the Main Hall.
  • For the less-fit adult, of which there are admittedly a few, a professionally-led Exercise Class meets on two different days each week, so there is no excuse for not joining in.
  • For young people, Destination Dance offers tuition and enjoyment in learning and expressing oneself better through the medium of dance.
  • Primary School children can take advantage of the Out of School Club which operates on all school days.
  • To suit people of all ages, some martial art classes are held in the Halls, including Aikido.

The WHAT WE DO page shows typical weekly timings of these and other activities.
